Are You Experienced Enough To Start A New Business Opportunity?

Are You Experienced Enough To Start A New Business Opportunity? Are You Experienced Enough To Start A New Business Opportunity?  by Dhiraj Man Shrestha

The business gurus will tell you: if you start a new business opportunity with what you know your chances of success will be much greater. Okay, but suppose you want to try something new business opportunity, something drastically different from your present career or a business that is way outside the realm of experience? Should having no knowledge of that business stop you from pursuing it?
My answer is a resounding 'No!' You can start cold turkey and still be wildly successful.

When trying to make a decision about starting your own new business opportunity, you will find yourself asking one of these questions:

* "How much experience do I need to start a home business?"
* "Do I have enough experience to start a home business?"

Textbook don't answer these questions. You can either go ahead hoping for the best, or you can go slowly analyzing every little step.

It is possible to go from being a bricklayer to a successful Internet Guru. There are true stories of partially educated teenagers who stumble on to a bright idea and become wildly successful.

A growing number of stay-at-home moms travel way out of their comfort zones into the untried world of business. Yet without prior preparation or knowledge of the world they were entering, met with stunning success. It is just a matter of how willing you are to take risks and educate yourself.

One of the important personal traits of an entrepreneur is the willingness to explore new horizons, take risks and accept responsibility for the risks taken. An entrepreneur needs to be good at self-motivation, or have the characteristic that gets and keeps a person moving even when things seem dismal. It is this trait that will enable you to continue despite drawbacks, like very little capital, lack of education or limited experience.

Don't get me wrong; knowledge and expertise are important. Studies have shown that lack of business experience is one of the major reasons for the failure of any new business opportunity. So, if you are the kind of person who likes to analyze your options then take time to evaluate all the factors, then stick with your preferences.

If you think that you need more business experience, there are a number ways to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for your venture. You can scour the Internet for education packages, or you could choose to get on-the-job training to give you some hands-on experience in your field of interest by teaming up with someone who already has new business opportunity. There are definite advantages to working with someone else in your industry of choice. You "earn as you learn," while you increase your chances of becoming known online, which makes it much easier when you decide to go it alone.

Approach obstacles like learning how to run a new business opportunity, as an exciting challenge and meet the challenge head-on. Many of the successful entrepreneurs, who started their new business opportunity ventures, did so without fully understanding the mechanics involved, like them you must motivate yourself to learn whatever is necessary to accomplish your goals.

Take the initiative! Learn everything you can about your prospective new business opportunity - the product or service that you plan to sell, the niche you are thinking of entering, your competition and your prospective market. Be sure to do your homework.

Knee Injuries From Mountain Biking

Knee Injuries From Mountain BikingKnee Injuries From Mountain Biking by Dave Regis

The sport of mountain biking is extreme, giving riders an adrenaline rush as they speed their way down hills and mountains over varying terrain. The more extreme the course the bigger the challenge and the bigger the risk should they fall.

It is always important to understand the types of injuries which can be sustained in your chosen sport so that you are able to consider the preventative measures available to you in the form of protective clothing, padding or even a sports brace. While minor injuries can simply result in abrasions and grazes to the skin, injuries to the knee can occur from downhill riding or through falling from your bike.

What is the knee joint?

As the knee joint remains active in the majority of sports it is susceptible to injury as a result of the forces passing through the joint, with impact damage from undertaking extreme sports such as mountain biking increasing the risk of injury further.

The joint itself joins the femur (thigh bone) to the tibia (shin bone), with the patella (kneecap) and the fibula (second bone of the lower leg) also forming the joint. There are also four ligaments working to stabilise the joint which are the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL), Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) and Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL).

Knee Pain

In general research suggests that 25% of cyclists will suffer from knee pain at some stage either as a result of overuse or from not having the correct setup on their bike in the first instance. Overuse injuries are typically self-limiting and following a period of rest you should expect to see a full recovery.

Knee pain can come in a variety of forms depending on the nature of the condition, from mild ligament strains to tendonitis to ACL tears and ruptures. The more serious injuries are typically as a result of impact damage from falling from your bike.

ACL Injuries

The ACL is the main ligament within the knee joint and is responsible for stabilisation, allowing a person to walk and run. An injury here can vary in severity from a few weeks out of action to up to a year following surgery and intensive physiotherapy. Typically 40% of all ACL injuries occur as a result of participating in an extreme sport such as mountain biking, wakeboarding or snowboarding.

In the event of a rupture or tear to the ACL surgery may be offered to remedy the condition though this requires the torn ligament being replaced and following an extended period of rest a patient can work on strengthening exercises to help stabilise the joint before getting back on the bike. Recovery can take up to a year following the initial injury which can be career threatening to professionals and have a huge impact on your lifestyle for the amateur.

Soft Knee Supports

Soft knee supports are typically worn post injury as a means of providing compression and support during recovery whilst remaining active. There are a variety of sports braces available on the market, each designed to manage specific conditions.

A support is designed to be worn when active, with breathable material which fits closely to your joint offering you compression without restricted movement. Depending on your condition there are knee supports available to help manage anything from mild sprains to tendonitis to mild ligament damage so that you can continue being active during your recovery from injury.

The use of a knee support is as much about enhancing the confidence of the patient as it is about helping with your rehabilitation, giving you the confidence to ride your bike normally and enjoy everything the countryside has to offer.

Rigid Knee Supports

A rigid knee support is designed to be worn as a preventative measure, though can equally be worn post injury to protect the joint from further injury in the future. A CTi knee brace is manufactured from carbon fibre to minimise unnatural movements whilst stabilising and maintain bone alignment and is worn by extreme sports stars the world over because of the protection it affords them.

The CTi knee brace is worn by professionals and amateurs from a range of sports, including snowboarding, wakeboarding, BMX and Speedway. The professionals know the importance of staying fit as they compete to be the best in their chosen field and the CTi gives them the confidence to push harder and faster as they strive for glory. It is typically used by sports people for any ACL / PCL / MCL / LCL injuries. In the event of any accident they can be assured that the CTi will offer maximum protection for their knee joint.

What should I do if I am injured?

It is important to not play through the pain to avoid causing any further damage, with resting giving you the best chance of a speedy recovery. Ice can be used to help manage any inflammation as well as lifting your leg above your chest.

During your recovery a soft knee support can be used to offer additional support when active as well as compression to minimise inflammation. Post injury a rigid knee support can be used to help minimise the risk of subsequent injury in the future.

If you are in doubt as to the extent of an injury or the type of knee support which would be best suited to you then you should speak with a clinical professional.

Dave Regis discusses sports injuries and the treatment options available including orthotics and physiotherapy. The use of knee support forms part of this discussion and how this can impact on the patient during recovery.

The Ways Of Crock Pot Cooking

The Ways Of Crock Pot Cooking by Jillian Smith

When the weather outside warms up, the kitchen can be a terrible place to be. There are many things you can do however, when it comes to cooking a nice home made meal that doesn't require traditional stove top or oven cooking. Learn to utilize some of the lesser heat producing equipment in your kitchen, such as the crock pot, in order to truly beat the summer heat and keep your cool while preparing a nice hot meal for friends and family.

So, how does crock pot cooking really help beat the heat? Simply put, the crock pot in and of itself puts off far less heat when cooking than an oven or stove top. This is the first and possibly the best reason to utilize the crock pot in your summer meal planning. You should also consider the fact that by not heating the house by using your stove top or oven you are also preventing your air conditioning (or other cooling methods) from working overtime in order to compensate for the additional heat that other cooking methods introduce.

This makes crock pot cooking a win-win situation as the costs involved in operating a crock pot are far less than the costs involved in operating a stove or oven in general. Whether electric or gas, your stove and oven are often serious energy hogs. Add to that the fact that you are not raising the temperature in your home by traditional means of cooking and you are using even less electricity.

Unfortunately for most, the general consensus has been that crock pots were meant for comfort foods and hearty winter meals. The truth is that the crock pot should be one of your best loved and most often utilized cooking methods if you can manage it. When it comes to cooking with a crock pot, the options are almost limitless. Almost anything that can be baked can be made in the crock pot and many, many more wonderful and enticing meals and treats as well.

Benefits of Crock Pot Cooking In addition to the cost benefits mentioned above when it comes to crock pot cooking there are many other benefits that are well worth mentioning. First of all, the bulk of the work involved in crock pot cooking takes place early in the day when you are refreshed rather than at the end of a hectic work or play day. This means that you are less likely to forget an ingredient or make other mistakes that often occur as we hurriedly prepare a dinner when we are exhausted from the activities of our day.

Second, many great crock pot recipes include the vegetables that insure we are getting the nutrients we need. So often, when preparing a meal at the last minute, vegetables and other side dishes are left out in favor of expedience. Crock pot cooking in many instances is a meal in one dish.

Another great reason to use a crock pot for your summertime cooking is the ease of clean up. Unlike pots and pans, most crock pot meals are made in one dish. This means that there will not be mountains of dishes to be either hand washed or loaded into the dishwasher (or if you are like me-both) afterwards. You can spend less time cleaning just as you spent less time slaving over a hot stove. Oh wait! Make that no time slaving over a hot stove. Once clean up is complete you can get back to enjoying the sun set, chasing the lightening bugs with your little ones, or waiting for the first star.

While there will never be a one size fits all best cooking method, crock pot cooking comes very close. If you have a crock pot collecting dust somewhere in the back of your pantry it is time to get it out, dust if off, and dig up some great summertime crock pot cooking recipes.

Type 2 Diabetes and Healthy Living - What Can Blood Test Results Tell You?

Type 2 Diabetes and Healthy Living - What Can Blood Test Results Tell You?

Type 2 Diabetes and Healthy Living - What Can Blood Test Results Tell You?
By Beverleigh H Piepers

As you get older, you will find your doctor routinely sending you to have blood test assessments to check your...

  • blood sugar,
  • HDL and LDL cholesterol, and
  • triglyceride levels

as part of the "growing older" process. These are tests everyone will have to take care of at one time or another. As you get the results of these tests, it is essential you know there are particular areas your doctor will not mention. Being aware of this can help give you a better picture of your overall health...

1. The Good News. First, if you are called back by your doctor after having a blood test do not expect to get much in the way of good news. Blood tests typically report problems - places where your blood is standing out from the standard deviations that have become the norm.

As such, if you do not hear a "bad" report on what is worrying you, take that as your cue, it is good news. For instance, if you are worried about a heart attack but your doctor does not make mention of your cholesterol levels, then you are not as badly off as you thought and your cholesterol may be in an okay place.

2. Normal Can Vary. Another point to keep in mind about blood tests is standard can vary between men and women. What is "normal" for one person may not necessarily be normal for another: men and women often see marked differences in their blood test results.

It pays to see the same doctor on every visit. If the doctor is aware of your case history, they can better decipher which results are abnormal and which ones are in a healthy range.

3. There Is Such A Thing As False Positives. Another aspect to keep in mind is false-positives do occur. If you have a test confirming your worst case scenario, you may want to have a repeat test to be sure.

Usually, the testing is accurate, but there is a slim chance this is not the case. The incidence of false positives occurs in tests that measure antibodies when a person has an immune condition such as rheumatoid arthritis or multiple myeloma. Since these conditions produce antibodies as well, it is more likely to sway the case into being negative.

4. Test Values Can Be Different From One Lab To Another. One last area to be aware of is testing values are not always consistent from one lab to another. Lab technicians will compare your test results with what is considered normal for their laboratory.

If that laboratory is different from the one you used previously, for instance, this may result in a change in your results without there being a "real" change. It is a smart move to have your blood testing carried out in a regular lab and stick with that lab to save yourself the headache of analyzing minute changes in your results.

Keep these points in mind next time you have a blood test and remember blood tests are measurements used for gauging your health, but your doctor should also be looking at the "big picture." While blood tests are diagnostic, they should not be diagnostic without awareness.

Type 2 diabetes is not a condition you must just live with. By making easy changes to your daily routine, its possible to protect your heart, kidneys, eyes and limbs from the damage often caused by diabetes, and eliminate some of the complications you may already experience.

For nearly 25 years Beverleigh Piepers has searched for and found a number of secrets to help you build a healthy body. Go to http://DrugFreeType2Diabetes.com to learn about some of those secrets.

The answer isn't in the endless volumes of available information but in yourself.

How To Choose Cost Effective Modern Lights For Your Home

How To Choose Cost Effective Modern Lights For Your HomeHow To Choose Cost Effective Modern Lights For Your Home  by Iain Jenkins

Choosing the right cost effective modern lighting fixture to install in homes is of the essence. Keep home interior stylish and well-lit without compromising budget with modern lights.

Know The Various Styles Of Modern Lights Available In The Market Today

Contrary to popular belief, style is actually crucial to how long it is going to last and how much energy it can consume. While many contemporary wall lights look stylish, some of them can still consume a lot of energy.

Home owners should blur the lines between style and energy consumption. When choosing for the best, still keep energy consumption in mind as well.

Modern lights with minimal accessories are more affordable than those with intricate designs crafted from upscale materials. It is also important to consider the style that will suit the home's interior design and over all theme. Some lighting designs make rooms look dreary. Some make rooms look more spacious.

Determine The Right Size Of Lights That Will Work Best In Homes

The cost of lights is usually directly proportional to the size. You can also cut down the cost if you opt for the size that can illuminate a whole room. Some lighting fixtures may be small but they work in lighting up a big room so you won't have to purchase more cabinet lighting for accent or contemporary wall lights.

Check The Color Of Light It Emits

Modern lights are not only used to lighten up a room but also to improve room ambience and to make a house look more inviting. A lot of people buy lighting fixture without a thought to the color of the light and then change their mind and buy another set of lighting fixture again. It is costly, not to mention time consuming.

Make it a point to check the color of the light and how it will illuminate your room. Before buying a whole set, buy one to test how it works in the color of your walls or the interior design.

The color also depends on the usual weather in your area. If you live in tropical areas, using lights with a strong glare is not a good idea. It makes the room warmer so you might eventually find yourself installing more air conditioning units.

Choose Modern Energy Saving Lights

Much has been said about the benefits of modern lighting fixtures these days. A lot of styles and types of lights have been made more efficient so that home owners can cut down energy consumption. Initially, these lights are more expensive than your standard incandescent bulb. But you will soon find out that it is more cost effective because it does not use up energy like your old inefficient lighting fixtures.

LED lights are preferred by a lot of smart and vigilant buyers due to their efficiency. Reports say that LED lights consume up to 80% less energy than their incandescent counterparts so they are some of your best options. Furthermore LED lights are more eco friendly and renewable. They do not contain mercury contaminants. That said, these lights can be disposed and recycled safely.

Opt For Multi Purpose Lights

That brand of cabinet lighting might also work as a room lighting fixture because it emits such a bright glare. Those contemporary wall lights might have been equipped with motion sensors that can detect movements for security purposes. If you want to save a bit more money, try looking for all in one bulbs.

Go For More Durable Lights

The modern lights might look attractive and it might function in more than ways than one but can it last for a long time? The worst mistake you can make when choosing lighting fixtures is disregarding the durability of the product. Since you are trying to cut down on costs, you should look for a product that can last for a long time.

Thankfully, a lot of eco friendly and energy efficient lights these days are quite durable. LED light is an example. It is known for its ability to last decades longer than incandescent lights. Even with zero maintenance, you can expect these lights to last for a long time.

Iain Jenkins writes articles for Luma Lighting, an online provider of indoor and outdoor lights for homes and properties. Luma lighting have a very wide range of modern lights including LED strips, fluorescent lights, spotlights for lighting specific focal points inside the and cabinet lighting. They also feature a very wide range of contemporary wall lights that would suit any room around the house, available in many different styles and finishes.

Enjoy Life With A Dog, But Only For The Right Reasons

Enjoy Life With A Dog, But Only For The Right Reasons by Judy Moore

There are many reasons for a person to have a dog in his home and his life. Some reasons are legitimate, some are not. Dogs in our society are stellar companions for people, expressing unconditional love to humans right in the face of uncertainty and often inconsistent and unfair treatment.

Just as it is wrong for a person to keep a dog in order to have something to dominate and control, so is it wrong to let the dog be the object of a person's desire, for whatever reasons, to cater to every whim of another being. Indulgence (some call it spoiling) is not an acceptable alternative to dominance! Honest love does not promote indulgence. Indulgence, like dominance, does not respect the dog as a companion animal wanting to serve.

When there is no proper communication between dog and owner (or more appropriately, guardian), some guardians will simply allow the dog to do whatever the dog's impulses dictate. A guardian must recognize how important it is for his dog always to ask what is right to do rather than act on impulse. The dog must learn to ask permission for everything. To act on impulse is not asking permission. It is acting on information from instincts, the only information dogs are born with. Of course, dogs don't question the correctness of that information. But it's faulty, pretty much across the board, for functioning in a human world.

While some impulsive behavior may be quite harmless and, on occasion, even entertaining to man and dog alike, other impulsive behavior is potentially very damaging, even lethal. No dog can discern which impulsive behavior is benign and which is not! Therefore, he must learn to ask permission about all his actions. To live out his lifespan in tranquility and not forever on the edge, it is essential that the dog learn that he must not make any decisions without consulting his human partner, asking questions. A dog can only exist in harmony with his guardian's human society and live the fullest and happiest life if he can get right answers to his questions about how to behave.

While giving his dog practical answers for living, an owner is also fulfilling the dog's natural desire to companion with and communicate with a human. This is an overriding natural desire for dogs. Only when a guardian has consciously worked to develop the kind of communication with his dog which frees his dog from either dominance or indulgence should the guardian feel right about having a dog living with him.

We should not keep animals so that we may exploit them. If we keep animals, we should keep them so that we may learn more from them about sharing love. Doesn't communication enhance the expression of love? A relationship between a dog and a human which is one of partnership as well as companionship, demands communication that really works, a language for living. All dogs deserve to be given a chance to develop their loving potential and live out their lifetimes with certainty, unhampered by emotional instability and uncontrolled inborn impulses which make their lives with humans difficult or even dangerous. Dog and human partner must learn to communicate with each other!

Judy Moore teaches Dialogue Dog Training, a revolutionary approach to training dogs by reducing dog anxiety.

The concepts and methodology for how to train a dog with Dialogue, from Judy's lifetime of experience, are clearly delineated in her book Dogs Deserve Dialogue: Rover Should Hang on Your Words, Not on Your Leash and several DVDs which can be ordered at http://www.helpyourdog.com. A free ebook, Be a Cheerleader, Not a Pack Leader, is yours for the downloading.

Judy teaches individuals through dog training classes and private consultation. Anyone can self-train himself or herself by studying the book and DVDs and practicing what is taught therein.

Barbell Floor Press Challenge Week 31

by

I finally got in a couple of workouts after a month-long hiatus. Here are the results of last week's exercises:

Tuesday, July 17, 2018

barbell floor press

245 lb x4x1

245 lb x2x2

245 lb xno go

barbell floor press and leg raise

235 lb x3x2

standing dumbbell overhead press

45 lb dumbbell in each hand x 30 secs x 5

standing dumbbell skullcrushers

45 lb x 5

Friday, July 20, 2018

standing dumbbell overhead press

50 lb dumbbells in each hand x30 secs x3

55lb dumbbells in each hand x 20s x 2

All-in-all, the barbell floor press workout was okay; I have not been exercising as often as I should which means that I'm not pushing myself as much as I should be. I'm relying on muscle memory but calling upon self-confidence. I will work toward my goal and I will succeed.

The standing dumbbell overhead press and hold exercises are progressing decently. I can lift much more than this and so long as I remain focused on increasing my lifts, I'll be able to do it.

I'm going to do 255x5x3 next week. I'll keep you posted.

But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened." 1 Peter 3:14

Bird Watching Basics

Bird Watching BasicsBird Watching Basics by Albreht Moy

Bird watching or birding is a very popular hobby that includes the observation and study of birds.Because visual observation of birds is complemented with auditory observation, the term "birding" is more accurate.Birding is the second most popular outdoor activity in America, second only to gardening as the number-one recreation.

For many people bird watching is an opportunity to feel close to nature. They also enjoy the relaxation and peacefulness by watching birds. Some birders, however, will travel long distances just to see a rare bird. These birders are known as twitchers.Twitching is popular in Britain and several other European countries.

Most birders start out by watching and attracting birds to their own backyards.Bird feeding can benefit birds and also provide great bird watching. You can attract a variety of interesting birds to your yard by selecting and offering the right kinds of food. The common types of food offered in bird feeding are seeds, nectar, suet and fruit.Early morning is the best time for bird watching since many birds are then searching most actively for food.

Once you start feeding birds, you'll probably want to identify who is coming to visit.Equipment used for birding includes binoculars,a blank notebook, and one or more good field guides.

Field guides are books with pictures and descriptions of the birds.A field guide shows birds of just one country, or one region of a country, or one habitat.

Binoculars are described by two numbers: 8x32 for example. The first number tells you the magnification power of the binoculars. The second tells you the size of the objective lens at the end of the binoculars in millimeters. Most bird watchers think that 7 or 8 power is about right for most birding.

The next step is to broaden your birding experience beyond your own backyard.Plan a trip to a bird sanctuary, national park and other locations where you can see birds in large numbers.Wherever you go,never harm the birds and always respect other birders.

And don't forget to join a local birding club.Clubs organize field trips, show films of good bird watching destinations and some of them are involved in local environmental projects. Also visit your local library and check out books on birds and ornithology.
