Beginning Aerobic Exercise With A Treadmill For Weight Loss
By Kevin Corazza
Aerobic Exercise and Your Heart
Whether you use a treadmill, a jump rope or a daily walk, it is
common knowledge that aerobic exercise is great for weight loss
and good heart health. Even though a huge majority of Americans
are obese or at least unhealthily overweight, you don’t have to
join the masses (please excuse the pun).
Since you only have one heart…and if that heart stops beating,
you are dead, you will be happy to learn that simple, consistent
aerobic exercise can improve your heart health. The basic idea
is that the more aerobic exercise you can fit into your
schedule, the healthier your heart is going to be. This may seem
too obvious, but there are specific reasons that this is true.
When it comes to the connection between aerobic exercise and
heart health the basic point is that by doing aerobic exercise
you are giving yourself a work out where your heart and lungs
are constantly moving faster than they are when you are resting.
By causing your heart to work daily, you are making it stronger.
You cannot do this through anaerobic exercise like lifting
weights.
When it comes to exercise and heart health, you should increase
your workout at a reasonable pace. You can measure your exercise
through miles or blocks that you walk or run, or you can use a
machine.
Exercise Machines - Whether or not to use them
While running, walking or jump rope can be free or quite
inexpensive, some people choose to invest into a machine for
their aerobic exercise. Exercise machines have become quite
popular for working out simply because they can sometimes be
easier to use and get used to. Whether it is too hot or raining
cats and dogs outside, you can still use your exercise machine
indoors.
Two of the more popular machines include tread mills and
bicycles. Simply put, these two machines are handy and easy to
use. You can use the exercise bike or treadmill at any time –
you could even use one in your living room while reading a book
or listening to a book on CD. Another benefit of an exercise
machine, is that you will see that item as a daily reminder so
that you don’t forget your aerobic workout.
Safety While Doing Aerobics
You can use aerobic exercises in order to lose weight, build
lean muscle, and keep your heart healthy. However, you need to
be careful that you do not injure yourself. Lets look at a few
basic tips to keep your aerobics exercise fun, safe and long
lasting.
One tip is to find the right outfit. Wearing good sports shoes
is important. Aerobics exercise require a lot of movement, so
you want shoes that fit you securely and provide good support.
You also need to choose an outfit that is not too tight or
constricting and that breathes well, so you do not overheat.
Another point to consider is your area of exercise. Plenty of
space for moving around without hitting anything is a given. But
also make sure that the machines you are touching are clean so
that you do not get some nasty viral infection or bacteria. The
machines also need to be in good condition so you do not get
hurt.
Lastly, make sure that you do not push yourself too much. If
you are really trying to lose weight, you may want to consult
with your doctor first in order to know more about staying safe
while exercising.
Warm up. Cool down. Stretch. Eat right, Get your supplements.
Stay consistent from week to week with your aerobic exercise.
Have fun in the gym.
