Are you sure that your food is safe to eat? Are you absolutely sure? If you answered 'yes' then you're going to be in for a shock: every year 48 million Americans get sick from eating contaminated food.
The US government has announced several high priority food recalls in recent months. In light of this, we're starting a new series which will focus on the eight most common pathogens that contribute to foodborne illnesses in the United States. Each week you'll learn about a different pathogen that is most likely to be lurking in your food.
By the end of this series you'll be more knowledgeable about the germs hiding in food that threaten the lives of you and your loved ones.
