Coconut Pudding Recalled Due To Undeclared Milk Allergen

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports that NOH FOODS OF HAWAII, of Honolulu, Hawaii and Gardena, California is voluntarily recalling its 2 ounce, 3 ounce and 3 pound “Hawaiian Coconut Pudding” due to undeclared milk allergen.
The FDA warns that people who have milk allergies should avaoid consuming this product because not doing so could result in serious or even life threatening allergic reaction.
The recalled food products have the following UPC numbers:
- 073562000504 for the 2 oz package
- 073562000559 for the 4 oz package
- 073562000511 for the 3 lbs package
The pudding is packaged in yellow and white packaging and was distributed through mail orders and to retail outlets nationwide.
According to the FDA the company received a complaint and "a voluntary recall of this product or the concern only to those individuals who have allergies to dairy." Thus far there have been no reports of illness or serious injury, the FDA says on its official website.
Consumers who have purchased these pudding products are urged to return them for a full refund. Consumers with questions can get in touch with NOH FOODS OF HAWAII at 808-944-0655 or 310-324-6770 between the hours of 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
