According to a posting on the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) website, Fresh Creative Foods is recalling 8oz containers of H-E-B Tartar Sauce because the product contains undeclared fish (anchovy) allergen. The company says some of the plastic tubs have the correctly labeled Cocktail Sauce lid with a container labeled as Tartar Sauce when the actual contents are in fact Cocktail Sauce.
Fresh Creative Foods says the recalled product was distributed in H-E-B stores in Texas, and would have been purchased from an H-E-B Seafood Department in a clear 8 oz. container and lid with a "use by" date of 04/19/2016 on the bottom and a UPC of 41220 33244 on the side.
People whom are allergic to anchovies risk serious or life-threatening injury if they eat this product.
The company says the problem was discovered during routine restocking. They say there haven't been any reports of consumer complaints or adverse reactions associated with eating the recalled product.
The company urges consumers to return the recalled product returned to any H-E-B store for a full refund. Customers with concerns or questions can contact H-E-B Customer Relations at 210-938-8357 or 1-800-432-3113 FREE Monday through Friday between the hours of 8AM and 5PM CT.
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened." 1 Peter 3:14
