How to Avoid Problems when Boarding your Dog

How to Avoid Problems when Boarding your Dog

How to Avoid Problems when Boarding your Dog

By: Katie Simpson

Most dogs, especially older ones, develop a sense of pattern in their daily lives. Transporting them to new places or doing something that could disrupt those habitual patterns can be upsetting to them.

Experts say that old pets are more likely to have health problems. Common to senior pets are deafness, blindness, and arthritis. As dogs get older, they are more prone to kidney, heart, and liver diseases. Sometimes your pet won't get around very easily. They might be experiencing arthritis and other degenerative conditions. Keep in mind that if your pets are not used to being boarded, or are not boarded properly, their health problems might worsen.

Planning to board your dog

When you are planning to board your pet, do not hesitate to drop by your chosen kennel beforehand. Speak with your kennel personnel regarding the care of your geriatric pet. Perhaps the kennel has a special area where older pets stay, or maybe they offer special services for senior dog care. Whatever health problems your pet has, be sure to discuss them thoroughly with your kennel personnel before boarding. The kennel staff will be better able to recognize problems with a particular condition if they know what to look for. Be sure to observe the following:

Make your reservations early at the chosen kennel. You will just get disappointed if you book your reservations at the last minute. The best kennels fill up quickly and are booked months in advance. You should also find out what types of payment they accept, what types of equipment you should bring with your dog, and what kind of food they will feed him.

Prepare your pet for boarding. Dogs, just like people, appreciate a break. They enjoy being in new surroundings. Once they get familiar with the place, they will probably have an exciting and marvelous time. For dogs that have never been boarded before, consider some short overnight stays to help him or her get used to boarding.

Check in during office hours. Make sure to bring all the paperwork needed by the kennel. The kennel needs to know your name, address, phone number, your veterinarian's name and phone number, and where you can be reached when you go away. So in case of emergency it will be easy for them to reach you. If your pet has any special problems that are not covered in your check in forms, point them out to your kennel operator.

This will help your kennel take better care of your pet. Most kennels have special services they provide. They sometimes provide a special diet for your dog or a special boarding place away from the general pet population. Kennel personnel provide nice resting and exercise places for your pets; they may even give your dog soft music to release their stress. Discuss your pet's individual needs and health conditions in advance, along with what to do if something changes. Remember, your kennel owner is in the business of boarding because he/she loves animals.

Relax and enjoy your trip. Remember that your pet is in good hands. Your pets will probably get more care and attention than they would in your home.

Many older pets have underlying conditions or undiagnosed illnesses that are not readily noticeable. Stress plays an important role regarding your pet's health. Stress can be caused by a variety of factors: being away from home and loved ones, a new environment, other dogs and cats, new noises, smells and people associated with a kennel, a change in food or water... the list goes on.

Whatever triggers a stress reaction also triggers physical changes in your pet. We may see physical signs of vomiting, diarrhea, lack of appetite, lethargy, or increased respiration. Stress helps animals (and people) cope with a situation. However, when stress is not relieved or reduced sufficiently, the body does not have a chance to rest. This is why your pet can become ill away from home, even when he appeared normal when you dropped him off. Be sure to check for these conditions when you pick up your dog and find out what triggered them.

Financial Benefits of Outsourcing Will Bring Huge Profit to Your Business

Financial Benefits of Outsourcing Will Bring Huge Profit to Your Business

Financial Benefits of Outsourcing Will Bring Huge Profit to Your Business

Outsourcing, outsourcing and more outsourcing, it seems that this has become the buzzword in business circles. So why does everyone want to outsource their business process. Well there surely must be huge benefits for so many businesses to be undergoing this process on such a large scale. Financial benefits of outsourcing is so huge and immense that all firms who want to unburden themselves from the heavy workload use outsourcing to meet the growing demand of their work.

More than ever, now companies and business firms are waking up to the ides of giving their work to be handled by an outside company or third party as is known in the business world. Outsourcing is very much in vogue these days. In developed countries there is an insufficient number of qualified and talented professionals. Also the price of qualified labor is very high in these countries. But this entire shortcoming in no way means that the business process takes a backstage.

Work has to go on in any condition and outsourcing is the perfect answer to this. All work is mostly outsourced to developing countries. These countries have immense qualified manpower that can do your work perfectly. What is more, your work will be done at less than half the rate that professionals working in your country will require. For example if you need to pay a professional about a hundred dollars for doing a particular job, you will have to pay about twenty dollars to professionals who will do the job for you through a third party.

Just because almost everybody and anybody is undertaking outsourcing for their business does not mean that you will also have to undergo the process. First of all carefully examine the various factors of your business and determine if undergoing this process will actually benefit your business or not. All businesses have different requirements and thus it is all the more important for you to find out if you can undergo this process. So while this can benefit some businesses it may not be so for some other business.

There are many factors you need to consider before you actually go about outsourcing for getting financial benefit for your business. You will be handing over all the major attributes of your business to be handled by some third party. Think carefully if you are comfortable with this or not. You will be handing over all the financial details of your business and so you must have complete trust on the third party firm that is handling the work for you.

Any company you choose for helping you in completing projects and deadlines must have the best security features in place to safeguard your personal information and data. You can find out other companies that have used their services and see if they are satisfied with the work of that outsourcing firm or not. Only when you are fully satisfied with all your queries go ahead and outsource your work to that third party.

There are many outsourcing companies that give you the offer of checking out the quality of the work that is done by them. You can actually give them some work to be done and see the quality of the work that is done by them. If you find that the work done by them is not up to par, you can always go to some other company who will do the work for you.

Readfield Meats, Inc. Recalls Beef Trimming Products Because Of Possible Adulteration

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced that Readfield Meats, Inc., doing business as Ruffino Meats & Food Service, an establishment in Bryan, Texas, is recalling approximately 45,985 pounds of beef trimming products due to possible adulteration.

The FSIS has designated this a Class II Recall of Low Health Risk.

The following products are subject to recall:

  • 50-lb. boxes containing “BEEF TRIMMINGS FOR COOKING ONLY.”

The USDA said the recalled frozen raw beef trimmings items bear establishment number “EST. 13126” inside the USDA mark of inspection and were produced from May 26, 2015 through May 26, 2017.

"The product labels include “For Cooking Only,” indicating that they are intended for further processing to apply a full lethality at a federally inspected establishment. Because the products were distributed to non-federally inspected establishments where it cannot be verified that sufficient further processing occurred to remove foodborne pathogens that could have been present, these products must be removed from commerce." the USDA said.

According to the USDA, the FSIS discovered the problem when an FSIS compliance officer found cases of raw beef trimmings labeled “For Cooking Only” at a retail location.

The USDA said there have been no reports of adverse reactions due to eating these products. Anyone concerned about illness or injury should consult a healthcare professional.

The US government urges consumers who bought the recalled products not to consume them; instead, the products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

Consumers with questions about the recall may contact Terry Wiese, plant manager, at (979) 776-5685.

Helpful Methods For Building Muscle - Useful Facts You Might Not Know

Helpful Methods For Building Muscle - Useful Facts You Might Not Know

Submitted by: Erick Spires

Let's face it: Having lean and tight muscles brings you a notch higher in the "looking good" rating scale. For men, having bulked muscles and ripped abs add to their "hunky" appeal. While women don't like the idea of bulking up, they infinitely feel way sexier when their abs are lean and their arms don't sag. Thin is definitely not in where the word "sexy" is concerned. Being waif-like is equated to sickness, like the image of ramp models collapsing on the runway because they've eaten nothing but a stick of cheese all day.

There is no other way around building muscle except to follow a fitness program composed of diet and exercise. You cannot hope to build muscle by following only a diet or only a weight-training program. Both must be incorporated in one seamless fitness regimen so muscles can be gained. With the foundation of diet and exercise, follow these simple and proven ways to help you build muscle:

1. Make sure that you have sufficient amounts of protein, carbohydrates and fats in your daily diet. Compared to those who are not on any muscle building regimen, you need about twice as much of these macronutrients in your diet. In order for your body to sustain the entire strenuous activity, you need to up your intake of carbohydrates from fruit, grain and vegetable sources. You will also need adequate amounts of fat to stimulate production of testosterone so that your muscles will bulk up. Protein is needed to help your muscles recover and bulk up. Your meals should include lead meat, chicken, milk, eggs and fish.

2. When you notice that your diet is lacking in these nutrients, you can always consider supplementation. Fish oil is a good source of essential fatty acids so you can supplement with this if your diet is lacking in dietary fat. There are also protein shakes and drinks containing the amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine that help you build muscle. You can consider taking these, too.

3. Train with compound lifts. This is not always a popular method since it demands proper technique to be able to successfully carry it out. Squats and deadlifts are examples of exercises that work the largest muscle groups of your body that help in muscle building.

4. Lest you believe that in order to build muscle you need to keep on working at it day and night, hold yourself before you waste all your efforts. You need to give your muscles time to rest and recover so that the fibers broken down during your weight lifting regimen can reattach themselves and further form new ones as well. Thus, do your weight lifting sessions on alternate days with each session lasting no more than an hour and only a maximum of three days a week. Alternatively, you can train different sets of muscle groups per day. For example, you can concentrate on your legs one day, your arms on the next, your abs the day after that, your back the following day and your chest the day after to complete your routine. What is important is you give the muscle group you train time to recover. Otherwise, you won't be able to bulk up.

5. Drink plenty of water to aid in recovery and build muscle.

Pregnancy After Miscarriage Can Cause A Lot Of Anxiety

Pregnancy After Miscarriage Can Cause A Lot Of Anxiety

Pregnancy After Miscarriage Can Cause A Lot Of Anxiety
By Hannah Bajor

Pregnancy after miscarriage is a common concern for many women that had a miscarriage as many times we fear will this happen again to me.

Statistics shows that up to 65% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage, however many of these women never even knew they were pregnant as they were diagnosed by serial hormonal testing. A general rule is about 20 -25% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage.

No two pregnancies are alike. Each pregnancy is a unique experience for a woman and the incoming child so we cannot compare one pregnancy to another. The success rate of a pregnancy after a miscarriage can be increased with these following tips:

Be nutritionally healthier prior to and during pregnancy. From the moment of conception your unborn child needs to constantly multiply every cell in their body to grow every organ and structure to be normal. The most common cause of an early miscarriage is an abnormal baby resulting from a defective egg or sperm. These issues are easily corrected to prevent a recurrent miscarriage. It is not good enough to just eat healthier as most of the food we eat lacks basic nutrition and minerals. But it is essential to take in a high quality supplement of vitamins and minerals that has a great absorption rate. A nutritionally healthy body will make your pregnancy after miscarriage stronger.

Keep your body constantly detoxified will also prevent miscarriages and make pregnancy after miscarriage easier. Many people are unaware that their bodies are in a constant toxic state unless they are taking antioxidants on a daily basis. Toxins can destroy healthy cells including the female egg, the male sperm and the growing fetus. Toxins comes from the following:

Pesticides on the fruit and vegetables we eat unless they are organic.

Additives and preservatives in our foods.

Pollution in the air we breathe.

Chemicals in the water we drink.

From within our own bodies, for example every time we work out we generate free radicals that are toxic to our bodies.

Medication we take.

60% of all pregnancies are unplanned and when a pregnant woman has ambivalence about her pregnancy it increases the chances of a miscarriage. Therefore, if you want to have a successful pregnancy, immediately accept this baby.

Listen to your body. If your body is telling you to take it easy and not to have intercourse during your pregnancy, then listen to your own inner guidance. Pregnancy is much more than a physical and emotional process. Pregnancy takes a tremendous amount of energy from the mother as so many things happen to the mother and the incoming baby all at the same time. Going against your inner guidance can off set a normal pregnancy.

Pregnancy after miscarriage comes with concerns that another miscarriage will happen. This is normal but may even cause another miscarriage. Regardless of your obstetrical history it is very important not to worry and have as little stress as possible. Be positive and bond with your baby. Let your baby know he or she is loved and wanted.

If you are having a hard time getting over the loss of your miscarried baby then maybe you might want to consider some energetic healing-coaching from an energy healer like myself, that can help you turn the corner of miscarriage grief and energetically get you back on track.

Pregnancy can be an extraordinary experience for a woman. Worrying about your ability to have a healthy pregnancy or having another miscarriage causes stress on your body and may prevent you becoming pregnant or interfere with the outcome of your current pregnancy.

Everything you think, say or do about pregnancy either before the physical manifestation of a pregnancy or during your pregnancy has a profound effect on your pregnancy and your unborn child. The outcome of any pregnancy depends on many factors.

Pregnancy has a huge emotional, mental, spiritual, and energetic side to it. The more you understand these aspects, the easier and less problematic your pregnancy will be. Learning how to connect with the emotions of your unborn child will allow you to enhance your pregnancy experience and surrender to its normal physiological process and improve pregnancy outcome and maybe prevent another miscarriage.

Tips For Removing Linoleum

Tips For Removing Linoleum

Tips For Removing Linoleum

By: Lee Dobbins

When it comes time to get new flooring you can save money by removing the old flooring yourself but if you have old linoleum on your floors you might be in for quite a challenge. Depending on how old the linoleum is and the type of adhesive that was used it can be extremely difficult to get up.

First of all, it's unlikely that you'll be able to just remove the linoleum and adhesive all at once. The surface under the linoleum and the damage you might cause it needs to be considered - especially if that surface is wood. Concrete floors can take a lot more in the way of rough treatment. The type of scraper you use has a lot to do with your success as well as the damage to the floor underneath. Many people use paint scrapers but those with a razor blade are usually more efficient. Be prepared to break some blades it if the adhesive is hard, and you're working on concrete.

Try cutting the linoleum into strips or sections instead of removing the whole chunk at once. This will make it easier to get an edge to pry up. Of course, the linoleum probably won't come up in nice neat sections so be prepared to deal with a lot of left over backing and glue that is still attached to your floor.

One way to deal with those remnants that just won't come up is to apply some kind of solvent or remover. A popular brand is Krud Kutter, which appears to work very well from the customer feedback comments. Follow directions on the label of whatever product you employ, and wear gloves to protect your hands. Do a small section at a time, and then move to the next one.

Another technique is to use boiling water and pour it directly on the backing and adhesive. Let it soak and then scrape up. If you don't want to use water, you can try to heat up the glue with a hair dryer or heat gun. Pick a very inconspicuous area, such as behind a door, to try it. Heat the adhesive with the hair dryer and scrape it up with a straight-blade scraper (like a stiff putty knife with a beveled edge). Move the scraper in the direction of the grain of the wood if you are uncovering a hardwood floor. Have a pan or some other container handy to drop the scrapings into - one that is unlikely to either melt or ignite when coming in contact with hot materials. Be very careful if you are using a heat gun as this can easily damage the floor underneath if it is wood.

If worse comes to worse and you are left with some stubborn adhesive on the floors, it might be time to sand. Of course, if your floors are wood and you plan to refinish them you would need to sand anyway, but during this step you must be careful not to damage the particular area by keeping the sander on it for too long.

Once you finally get the linoleum and all traces of adhesive up, you are ready to seal the floor as recommended for the type of flooring and apply the new floor as recommended!

Fish Make The Greatest Pets

Fish Make The Greatest Pets

Fish Make The Greatest Pets

By: Jennifer Shircel

Aren't the children always begging for a pet or another pet?

You don't want a cat - there's that whole litter box thing. You don't want to train a puppy, plus what about when you want to go away for the night? Birds make such a mess and can be quite noisy. And then there's those "rodent" things.

When we found out we were expecting our first child we decided to decorate the nursery in tropical fish decor. Then we thought a fish tank in the room would be perfect for the "white noise" and for a nice little night light. So we bought a 10 gallon tank set that cost about $40 for everything but the fish. We had no clue about caring for fish, so we only got a few fancy guppies that were about $3 each. How cheap!!

Who knew we'd become addicted? Well, me anyways. We learned that guppies are live bearers, meaning that they have "live" babies instead of laying eggs and they can be all sorts of pretty colors. Needless to say, we learned a few things about raising guppies and haven't spent any more money buying fish (well, except for a few more different colored guppies and a bigger tank to start breeding our own)!

Fish are so easy to take care of and are rather inexpensive to keep. We clean out their tank a little bit each month and spend about $2 on food for them that lasts about 3 months. The kids all love the guppies - their pretty colors and especially watching the babies grow. I love the guppies because they're cheap, relaxing, neat, quiet and they teach the children about responsibility with having a pet.

So before you jump down their throats about not having a pet, tell the kids to consider some guppies. If you're looking to do some more research on them, check out . There are plenty of tips and people there that are willing to answer all of your questions.

Outsource Staffing to Meet Your Increasing Business Needs

Outsource Staffing to Meet Your Increasing Business Needs

Outsource Staffing to Meet Your Increasing Business Needs

Outsource staffing is an effort made by outsourcing companies to provide you and your company with just the perfect employee capable of doing your work to help you run your business smoothly and perfectly. To run any organization successfully and efficiently it is very important to choose the right people who can do the required work. Well it is correctly said that a company or an organization is as good as its people. So choosing the man power who will work for a company is as crucial as selecting any other major component of a business. Business owners must make an extra effort to select the best people to work for them.

On the whole staffing process, that is selecting the right staff and training them to do the work for a business is a time consuming and exhaustive process. Outsource staffing is a simple means for you to be free from all staffing worries. It requires a lot of effort, time, planning and other resources for an organization to go about hiring the best staffing services. Outsourcing staff is the best and the most viable option for any firm to select and hire the services of the best people to work for them.

One of the main benefits of outsource staffing is that you can save lots of money, time and other resources. Most businesses and companies have many time consuming and complicated jobs to take care of for running their business successfully. So in such a scenario outsourcing staff becomes the best option. You can also save huge amounts of money if you outsource staff from outsourcing companies. The cost of labor in developing countries is very low and when professionals do the outsourcing work from developing countries, the work can actually be done at a much lower rate.

Once you have outsourced the staff of your business you can also have lots of time at your disposal. This becomes possible as outsourcing lets you free up your valuable time. The professionals who have freed up from the workload can deal with other important business deals. Also all the other important sectors of your business can be dealt with as the internal staff can be freed up.

One thing that has been noticed in most businesses is the fact that professionals switch jobs very frequently. This has a very negative effect on any business. After a professional has been hired and trained to do particular types of work, they leave the organization. This means the loss of time money and all the other resources that was used for training the professional to work according to company standards. So the next time you want to hire new professionals think about all these aspects and you can find outsourcing staff to be a better option for your business.

Whether to outsource staff or not is entirely your decision and no one can force you to decide on anything. So before you actually go about outsource staffing you must find out if this will benefit your business or not. After you have undertaken the process for your business, at anytime you find that you are not satisfied with the work done, you can simply take back the work and let someone else do the thing for you. There are plenty of outsourcing companies form which you can hire the outsourcing services.
